The purpose of the present study is to investigate the concept of women's empowerment and its role in lifestyle transformations. To this end, Kabeer's (1999) empowerment model was selected as one of the most comprehensive contemporary approaches to women's empowerment, and lifestyle transformations were examined in relation to it using a documentary-analytical research method. Data collection was conducted through the study and review of documents (including library resources, articles, theses, and online databases). The findings revealed that transformations in women's lifestyles are achieved through the dynamic interaction of three dimensions: resources, agency, and achievements. Access to material resources leads to changes in consumption patterns and lifestyles, while the presence of informed human resources results in more conscious choices, and social resources provide women with opportunities to access new possibilities. On the other hand, the exercise of various forms of agency also plays a significant role in this transformation. Passive agency manifests as hidden resistance against restrictive norms, active agency is realized through independent decision-making in lifestyle choices, and transformative agency leads to changes in restrictive structures. Furthermore, the achievements resulting from women's empowerment, in turn, drive transformations across various spheres of lifestyle. Specifically, empowerment in women's individual dimensions leads to increased self-confidence, enabling them to make better choices. Empowerment in the familial sphere results in changes in decision-making styles, child-rearing practices, and spousal interactions. Lastly, the social achievements of women's empowerment enhance their participation in the public arena.
