The glorious Qur’an is the best reference for the study of the Islamic approach to the most appropriate style of life. If one comes to produce a theory on the Islamic style of life, i.e. to infer a model for collection of data, producing concepts, theorizing, and so on, one is more demanded to refer to the Qur’an. As for the theorizing, however, what is the best method to make use of the Qur’an? As it were, what is the methodological model to study the Qur’an in order to reach a theory on the Islamic style of life? The answer is a combination of three models: thematic interpretation, analysis of contents, molding models; this can be called “methodological compound model” or “molding a model according to religious references”. In what follows, the author comes to explain each of the above three methods and to introduce a compound model for theorizing on the Islamic style of life.
